Long Island NY Service

A quick break after three hours of prying up floor boards...

most people in this neighborhood will not be in their homes
until next summer...

this was a street once upon a time...
most all of the landscaping is dead because of the salt water...

another weary worker looking a bit hammered...

all trash is hauled to the street and big trucks take it to land fills...
you can see some of the oak floor we pried up...
underneath of the floor is mold that must be sprayed and allowed to dry
for a long period of time...

one room left
and then on to the next job...

back-breaking work...

a grateful soul...

another quick break at lunch time...
this was once a bark covered, tree shaded park,
now everything is covered in sand...

facing what's left of the boardwalk...

tractors push trash into piles and then
shovel it into waiting trucks...

scraping off sand to replant grass...

still so much work to be done.

  1. wow! Hard to believe how much work there is to be done! You'd almost want to throw up your hands and give up! I say wow again!!

  2. Believe it or not they told us there was no more that we could do and that was our last day to serve. I don't know who is going to be doing all the rest. What a heart break, but most of the people have gotten over the grief and lose and are just focused on the future. I found myself often wondering how I would handle the tragedy.
