I have been working so hard to make my garden successful this year.
It has been ages since I've been able to have a garden
and now I am having wonderful dreams of rosy red tomatoes
beautiful red and green peppers and red onions,
some varieties of crisp lettuce
and several different squashes as well.
Maybe it is being older and not having such a demanding schedule
that allows me the luxury of time
to weed and carve little water canals
so that everything gets its proper moisture
and then stretch my back and gaze around with pleasure.
It is actually a very humble little garden
compared to those I see on line
but it is lush and growing little blossoms
filled with promise of things to come.
